I bought this cider press from one mile down the road at the old Octagon Farm. He said he bought it from some guy in the Adirondacks back in the early 90's. Don't know much about them, other than it seems these were purpose built in the NorthEast specifically for hard cider production. I have old parts with a pulley/belt system that would suggest it used to operate on a hit/miss motor. This is PERFECT for a cider centerpiece at a farm cidery/winery/brewery. Video linked to show it in action. We took our time and uninstalled it piece by piece jackhammered it out of the floor, moved it down the road and reinstalled with new parts where applicable.
