Situated in Farmington, Tumbledown Brewing is located in the Southern part of Franklin County, and sits upon a wealth of recreational opportunities in the foothills and mountains of Western Maine. The Appalachian Trail, Bigelow Preserve, and Mount Blue State Park are all within a short drive of town and hold a myriad of camping and hiking opportunities.  The region is well known for its heritage Brook Trout waters, as well as fantastic fishing right from your doorstep here on the banks of the Sandy River.

Sugarloaf, Saddleback, and Sunday River ski areas are all just over an hour’s drive, and Farmington’s own Titcomb Mountain Ski Area is right down the road.  The County boasts numerous destinations for Mountain Biking, and the tap room is located on a local snowmobile trail, so Winter access is also possible.  The town is home to roughly 4,500 people, the University of Maine Farmington and its 1,200 students, Franklin Memorial Hospital, and other numerous businesses. Downtown Farmington has close to 10 bars and restaurants, most of them carrying Tumbledown beers.

Facility Details: The brewhouse consists of a 7bbl Mash Tun and 7bbl Direct Fire Kettle, two 7bbl Fermenters, two 6bbl Fermenters, a 4bbl Fermenter, and a 7bbl Brite Tank. Our location is leased with very amenable terms.

The Brand: Tumbledown Brewing has been in operation in its current location since 2014, and has created a loyal customer base not only within the local region but across the state.  We focus on quality and consistency in our beers, and our customers have come to appreciate our striving to not brew solely one style of beer, but a wide range of beers so everyone can find one they enjoy.  Our beers are currently distributed throughout the state by a major beer house; our sales are strong through the distributor (over 200 wholesale accounts), yet there is plenty of room for growth in the future.  Our branding is not flashy but is well recognizable, and has come to signify what we stand for: Great Beer from the Mountains of Maine.

We are looking to get $225,000 for the sale of the Brewery and the Tumbledown brand, and would possibly be willing to entertain offers for investment or partnership with an individual interested in taking over the brewing operations.  For more information, please email the address listed!
