News Homebrew Con to be Held in Conjunction with GABF in 2024

Homebrew Con, the annual conference for homebrewers, will be held in conjunction with the Great American Beer Festival in 2024, ending for now its usual presence as a standalone conference, held in a different city each year.

The BA, parent group of the American Homebrewers Association (AHA) which hosts Homebrew Con, said that instead of its own conference, they will set up a separate area for homebrewers AHA inside of the GABF.

The AHA has been around for 45 years, pre-dating the commercial micro-brewing and craft brewing divisions which now encompass the BA. The BA first announced that the 2024 Homebrew Con would be held in Denver with the GABF following last years conference in San Diego.

Julia Herz, executive director of the AHA, chatted with All About Beer’s John Holl on the Drink Beer, Think Beer podcast and expressed optimism for the new format, but offered few details.
