Learn – and practice how – to cultivate relationships with local and (inter)national journalists, write your own news release, promote an event, get booked on a TV morning show, and ensure that when you have a story to tell, you know exactly how to engage enthusiastic reporters to tell it.
Understand importance of proper press communications by sharing “best-of” and “worst-of” examples among speakers and audience members
Discuss how to articulate a variety of marketing messages (i.e. beer release, event, expansion, etc.)
Learn basic dos and don’ts of emailing press releases to reporters
