We have used this pasteurizer for the past 7 years. It has been a great piece of equipment and is perfect for companies producing 20-100k gallons per year.

To pasteurize we filled 3 macro bins with cans (works with bottles as well) loaded the 3 bins in to a large SS cage then lowered with a forklift in to a SS insulated tank. Please see specs below.

  • 2 x Rinnai Tankless Hot Water Heaters @ 199,000 BTU per unit

Pasteurizer Capabilities

  • Cases of 12oz cans per Macro Bin: 22.8
  • Bins that can fit inside the cage: 3
  • Total cases per dunk: 67
  • Approximate Pasteurization time with setup at Noble Cider: ~45min

Cases per 8 hour work day: ~700 (16,800 x 12oz cans)
(We usually do between 300-600 per day)

  • Stainless Steel Pasteurization Tank
  • Stainless Steel Dunk Cage
  • 2 x Centrifugal pumps (1 for hot water, 1 for tank circulation)
  • Controller

Required Additional Equipment:

  • Hot Water Source – Either tankless heaters or boiler capable of outputting ~400,000 BTUs for pasteurization specs similar to those achieved at Noble Cider
  • Forklift or overhead crane to lift and lower dunk cage
  • Various fittings/plumbing and electrical required to hook up pasteurizer.
