5BBL STOUT BREWHOUSE

ASKING $12,000, new price is $17,000

This is a perfect starter system for a new brewery. We purchased it new almost 4 years ago and it has been a good system for us. We just outgrew it and purchased a new 10 bbl system so it’s time to let it go. Here is the details:

5BBL HLT:

  • This Single wall 5bbl (200 Gallon) Electric Hot Liquor Tank features a Thermowell, Tangential inlet, Sight glass, (4) port and adapters for electric elements (1.5-in. TC x 1-in. NPS) and (1) port/adapter for level sensor. For 30/24kw Systems. I am including 2 heating elements with cords and a twist lock plug (not included in our original purchase). We only used 2 elements on this and controlled it with our ruby street pilot brew system panel and it worked great. You would have to get some kind of a controller to run these elements. It does not come with a control panel.
  • It also Includes a Raised HERMS Coil (Stainless Steel). This has been very useful for doing step mashing or if you are a little low on your initial temp, you could dial in your mash a few degrees.

5BBL Insulated Mash Tun:

  • Features a removable 3 piece slotted/milled false bottom, 3 upper TC inlets and side manway. We have 2 LID tops for this. The original is one piece with a 4” TC port in the middle. They made another one for us with a hinged lid to make it easier to Mash in without having to remove the entire lid. Both are included. We are also including the adjustable Vorlauf pipe and a sparge arm. No other valves, gaskets, clamps included.
  • This also has a removable grain chute. We used a 30 gallon trash can that fits perfectly under here and we would line the cans with the original grain bags which made it convenient for the farmer to pick up.

5BBL Hybrid Single Wall Boil Kettle:

  • This kettle was a custom build from stout. It has plenty of headspace to prevent boil overs, a sight glass, 2” bottom drain, 1.5” racking arm, tangential inlet, sight glass and 2 additional TC ports in the back for optional Heating elements. It also has a removable trub dam that works really well. We had this one made with a nice heavy duty hinged lid. This is nice to have full access to the kettle for adding kettle additions and cleaning. Most stock BK’s only have a small manway on the top.
  • It has a gas burner under the kettle with a skirt that goes around the tank. There is a flange that attaches to the skirt and a 10” insulated vent fitting that attaches to that flange. You just have to add as many vertical vent pipe sections as needed to exhaust out your building.
  • I’m including a 240v heating element with a twist lock plug on the back. We had our electrician wire in a pigtail that we could plug in and turn the element on and off with a breaker. We used it just to get to a boil faster and then shut it off at boil to shorten our brew day. You can also turn it on if you are trying to boil extra hard to increase your gravity. It’s nice to be able to disconnect at the element for ease of cleaning. There is a spot for a second element but it was not needed.

Here is a video we made recently, that shows us brewing on this system: https://youtu.be/IkhFpXCH4Po

This system does not include any TC valves, clamps, gaskets or condensate stack other then what is detailed above. These systems come bare when we bought them and the fittings were bought separately and transferred to our new system. We just took this system out of service last week, cleaned them, wrapped with plastic wrap and currently being stored inside our large box truck. We are willing to deliver within 100 miles for an additional fee.

We are also selling an indoor penguin chiller unit that was used for 3 x 5bbl FV’S, 1 X 10bbl FV, and a 5bbl BT. We had to move to an outdoor chiller for more capacity and space so this would pair well with this system. We will be posting this ad soon.
