After a long battle in the State legislature spanning a number of years, Governor Phil Bryant signed a beer bill into law this morning that will increase the ABW cap on beer from 5% to 8%. The change goes into effect on July 1st.
Next in the crosshairs for the southern state beer consumers; homebrewing. Mississippi and Alabama are the only two states in the Union that outlaw homebrewing.
