Sierra Nevada and Boston Beer to Reopen Taprooms

Beverage Industry News» Crisis Responseposted Mar 25th, 2021 11:52:11AM by Tom McCormick

While the vast majority of breweries across the country rely heavily on their on-premise brewery taproom for revenue, the large distribution breweries have been focused on the big pivot to meeting the surge in off-premise demand over the last year. Many of the distributing breweries decided to shut down their on-premise sales completely.

In another sign of optimism that the country is inching slowly towards something resembling normal, two national distributing breweries have just announced that they will reopen their brewery taprooms after being shut down for over a year.

Boston Beer announced this week that it will reopen its Boston taproom and Sierra Nevada said it will be reopening its Chico, Calif. and Mills River, North Carolina taprooms along with the brewery gift shops in late May.
