Asahi Group Holdings is looking for a brewery to buy. After the huge growth of Asahi Super Dry across the globe in 2023, the Japan-based brewer is looking to acquire a brewery in the US or elsewhere to increase its brewing capacity to meet demand.
Asahi took a small step in that direction last month when it was announced they was buying Wisconsin-based contract beverage facility Octopi Brewing specifically to make Super Dry in the United States rather than importing its European breweries.
But the next acquisition may not be in the US. They are looking at M&A opportunities in emerging markets in Africa, Asia and South America.
