Germany’s Oktoberfest, by far the world’s largest beer event, has been cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Six million people from around the globe flock to Munich, Bavaria, Germany, every year in late September and early October to attend the annual event.
Munich has been hosting the historic event since 1810, when the first Oktoberfest was held in honor of Bavarian Crown Prince Ludwig’s marriage.
