News Fast Expanding Saucy Brew Works Buys Cartridge Brewing

Cleveland-based Saucy Brew Works, founded just 5 years ago, has rapidly expanded across Ohio and beyond. Its most recent acquisition, the purchase of Cartridge Brewing just outside of Cincinnati will another brand-set to its portfolio.

With distribution over most of Ohio, Saucy also has four locations in the state and one in Detroit. In 2020 they diversified by opening its first Coffeehouse which now has four co-locations.

According to a company press release, Cartridge Head Brewer Adam Mills and the rest of the staff will continue to work at the brewery.

Cartridge founder, Kyle Hackbarth said, “The past five years bringing Cartridge Brewing from inception to reality has been a wild ride for myself and co-founders Anthony Cook and Lindsey Hackbarth. We’re exceptionally proud of the reputation the brand has built and when looking toward the future we knew finding an organization that could take Cartridge to the next level was critical. Saucy Brew Works with their top-quality beer, guest experience-focused brewpubs, community-focused culture, and being right here in Ohio was a natural fit.”

Select Cartridge beer will be on draft at all Saucy Brew Works locations with more plans to increase the brand’s distribution footprint. More on the story here.
