The Beer Institute released their estimate of domestic tax paid shipments by beer brewers for October 2023 which showed a decrease of 10.8% compared to October 2022.
Shipments by US brewers were 11,350,000 barrels for October 2023 compared to 12,730,492 barrels in October of last year. It was the third month of double-digit declines this year. Year-to-date beer shipments are down 6.9%.
Only one month has shown a positive number this year so far. Beer shipments were up 1.4% in February.
