The Boston Beer Company and Dogfish Head Brewery today announced that the companies have signed a definitive merger agreement, bringing together two pioneering independent craft breweries and the high-profile founders Jim Koch and Sam Calagione.
The merger agreement is estimated at close to $300 million. The deal is expected to close in the second quarter.
