The Beer Institute published its monthly unofficial estimate of domestic tax paid shipments by beer brewers for April 2023 which showed a decline of 4.0% versus April of last year. It was the second worst month of the year following a 6.0% decline in March.
Beer shipments for the year-to-date are down 3.5%. January showed a decline of 3.8% and February was down by 1.0%
The total shipments for April 2023 was an estimated 13,000,000 barrels, a decline of 539,770 barrels.
