As beer sales plummet across the country and many breweries begin to shut down and layoff staff, some are turning to making a scarce commodity – hand sanitizer. Distillers are getting in on the act as well. In most cases it is being handed out to free to the local community.
Not quite making lemonade out of lemons, but you get the picture.
We just released an IPA-scented recipe for hand-sanitizer, and were pleasantly surprised at the response (besides the fact that it smells like fresh hops, in 18 different hop varieties). I think creativity is the cornerstone of the Craft beer industry, and your post is a great example.
Great idea. How are you getting to the TTB 80% alcohol level?
Love to know how you did that, if possible for you to send to me
That was my question as well. It seems like this would be a distillery product to be safe and effective.
I’d sure love to know how you made it
Agreed! Send it!
Yes, if someone could post the process, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
My assumption is that isopropyl alcohol was purchased. Can’t think of another way without a distillery or file permit.
