It’s an almost everyday occurrence that a national beer company announces a new brand. But it warrants mention when a beer company that has stood solidly on only one brand for generations launches three new styles within less than a year’s time.
After releasing its first line extension last year, Pabst Blue Ribbon has launched two new beers to their portfolio, a non-alcoholic and PBR Extra. Extra is a stronger version of the flagship PBR, weighing in at 6.5% abv compared to PBR’s 4.7% abv.
PBR released the low-calorie PBR Easy last year.
