Pabst to Move Production from MillerCoors to City Brewing

November 12, 2019

As the beer world turns. Few beer consumers know that many large beer brands are often brewed in breweries far removed from the brand itself. Pabst is a classic example of a brand without a true home, having been brewed under contract for many years at MillerCoors breweries.

And now the gypsy brewer has another place to call home.

Pabst has announced that they will be moving most of their production to longtime contract brewer City Brewing in La Crosse, WI. The City Brewing brewery is the workhorse brewery formally owned by G. Heileman. The agreement calls for production to move to City Brewing facilities by December 2024. City Brewing, the largest contract brewing company in the country, also owns the former Coors brewery in Memphis and the former Rolling Rock brewery in Latrobe, Pennsylvania.
