Non-Alc Brewer Announces Celebrity Investors

News »  Business of Beerposted Jan 18th 12:09:20PM by Tom McCormick

Athletic Brewing, a fast-growing non-alcoholic brewer, has announced partnerships with high-profile celebrity investors.

Making a marketing splash during ‘dry January,’ the company announced last week that pro football stars J.J. Watt and Justin Tuck, cyclist Lance Armstrong, restaurateur David Chang and TOMS founder Blake Mycoskie are contributing financial backing to the fast growing company.

The exclusive non-alcoholic beer company grew by 500% last year from $2.5 million to about $15 million in revenue, according to an article in Bloomberg. The company has a 12,000 bbl capacity brewery in Connecticut and is expanding their San Diego brewery to about 100,000 bbls.

Last year the overall nonalcoholic beer market grew almost 39%.
