Industry Loses a Very Dear Friend

February 23, 2007

From a note emailed out to the industry today from Nancy Johnson, events coordinator at the Brewers Association:

“Linda lost her battle with cancer and passed this morning at 8:25 am. She was at home and surrounded by all of her family.

The family is planning a service and as soon as information is known we will post it at http://www.beertown.org/inmemoriam/ The Brewers Association has set up this page so people can write thoughts in celebration of Linda’s life. This page is being put together now and will go live in a few hours. This will be the place to get updates and share your thoughts

The family has indicated that the service will likely be next Friday or Saturday (March 1 or 2) in Boulder. No other info is known yet.

Linda’s family and friends are very grateful for everyone’s support. The family asks that no flowers be sent. Please check the above link for updates as we get them.”

Note: Linda was a long time friend of this writer and the news today was received with great sadness. I last saw Linda in October at the Great American Beer Festival and was graced with a long hug and conversation. Linda will be remembered by her family of friends in the industry.
