Going Backwards – Some Phoenix Bars and Restaurants Reclosing

News »  Crisis Responseposted Jun 16th 06:37:39PM by Tom McCormick

After reports of food industry workers testing positive for coronavirus in the Phoenix area, a number of bars and restaurants have decided to temporarily re-close for on-site dining according to the Phoenix New Times. Many of those who have decided to remain open are announcing that face masks will be required on the premises.

SanTan Brewing announced via their Facebook page that two employees had tested positive for Covid-19, stating that “today, we learned that two SanTan employees have tested positive for COVID-19. Out of an abundance of caution, we’re temporarily closing our Chandler pub, Phoenix pub, and Spirit House. We’re encouraging our employees to get tested and take additional safety precautions.”

Arizona has had a spike in cases in the last week.
