Come benefit about lessons we learned when opening our brewery. The good, the bad, and the ugly. We will take a deeper dive into the driving forces that make every brewery take twice as long and cost twice as much.

Topics include:
– How we started with 200 mug club members
– The benefits from building relationships with fellow breweries
– Delays in licensing progress
– Working with your contractors
– Surprise expenses
– Funding options
– Opening Day (yay!)
– Running out of most of our beers (boo!)
– Food at your brewery
– Staffing

The hope is to provide aspiring brewery owners and breweries still in planning with some real life details on what you might expect. Looking forward to sharing our story!

Speaker: Jake Lohse, Presidential Brewing Company

Bio: Presidential Brewing Company opened in March of 2019. Owners Jake Lohse and Kayleigh Lohse came to this industry with virtually no professional experience, outside of a couple of serving gigs during college. The brewery has 12 taps, and has sold nearly 260 barrels of beer in the first year. Presidential also offers a full kitchen with a lunch and dinner menu.
