About the Beer Now Conference

The Beer Now Conference started in 2010 in Boulder, Colorado as the Beer Bloggers Conference. The conference subsequently broadened its scope and changed its name to the Beer Bloggers & Writers Conference. In 2018, the conference again expanded its scope to include others involved in the communication of beer and renamed to the Beer Now Conference.

The conference attracts approximately 150 attendees from throughout North America and beyond to network, learn, and taste beers. For a glimpse into the conference, see this video from the first-ever conference.

Beer Now Tentatively Scheduled for November 4 – 7

The Beer Now Conference for beer bloggers, media, and influencers is tentatively scheduled for November 4 – 7 in Austin.

When we say tentative, that is not because of us. We have a venue, speakers, and sponsors. We have a plan in place to run this event safely. We have secured an outdoor venue, which dramatically decreases risk of transmission. We have enough space for social distancing. We are securing transportation for excursions that gives you more space. Dinners and beer tastings will be outdoors.

However, we will not run the conference if we don’t believe the local area is safe for you, our attendees, to visit. One of the key metrics we look at is current cases by population size. The good news is that Texas has now regained the edge in its fight against the recent surge in infections. Travis County is doing even better but still has a ways to go. (Check out the chart of current cases per 100,000 residents.)

So please hang with us as we wait for Texas, Travis County, and Austin to continue their battle against COVID-19. When the local authorities permit us, when our venue gives us the green light, and when we are comfortable that we can operate safely, we will confirm the event. Our goal is to announce by September 4th, giving you two months to make your plans to attend what will be the most historic (and one of the most fun) beer events you have ever attended.
