The Beer Culture Summit is our annual four day conference that embraces one very important aspect of our mission: that beer is more than a just a beverage. We acknowledge that it is a dynamic cultural force with the power to bring people together and the ability to influence change. Around the globe, an ever-growing community of researchers, professionals, and everyday beer enthusiasts strives to learn more about beer’s historic legacies and modern worth. The Summit aims to be the forum to bring them all to the table for a pint and a discussion.

The first ever Beer Culture Summit debuted in 2019 and was presented in partnership with the Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History. Over the course of four days, people from all over the country gathered in Chicago to have conversations about beer and the role it has played in humanity, past and present. While our second Summit was completely virtual, it amazingly offered a safe and even more personal setting that brought people together to emphasize another important aspect of our mission: that beer is for everyone.

The 2021 Beer Culture Summit will be mostly virtual with one in person evening event happening each night. You’re going to hear from friends and colleagues engaged in cutting-edge research and beer-focused public projects and soak in industry wisdom happening in museums, breweries, and historical sites. Discussions around diversity and inclusion as well as representation from people of all backgrounds have always been vital pillars of our work and you will continue to see that at this year’s Summit. This gathering is for everyone and is accessible to all. Please join us this November 4 – 7, 2021.
