John Stier Brewers Association Sustainability Mentor
John Stier has over three decades of experience in the brewing sector, including time spent leading the global sustainability efforts for Anheuser-Busch (AB). Since leaving AB in 2008, Stier has worked with a number of leading global beverage companies to develop sustainability strategies and implementation plans that create measurable business value. He has been active with the Brewers Association over the last seven years as a member of the Sustainability Subcommittee and is the primary author of the Sustainability Manuals.
Adam Beauchamp, Brewmaster Creature Comforts Brewing Company
Adam Beauchamp is the brewmaster and one of the co-founders of Creature Comforts Brewing Co. in Athens, Georgia. Beauchamp is a University of Georgia Alumni, and in 2006 he left a Ph.D. program in genetics and molecular biology at Emory University to pursue his passion and dream of opening a craft brewery. He served as a brewer at Sweetwater Brewing Company in Atlanta, Georgia for seven years before making his dream a reality and opening Creature Comforts alongside the other founders in 2014.
Christian Ettinger, Brewmaster Hopworks Urban Brewery
Christian Ettinger founded Hopworks in 2007. He started brewing in his parent’s kitchen during his first summer break in college and it didn’t take long to decide he would open his own brewpub.
Christian began his career at the Eugene City Brewery, where many of Oregon’s great brewers have had their start. He completed Intensive Brewing and Science and Engineering courses from the American Brewers Guild and was awarded the World Beer Cup Champion Brewmaster while brewing at Laurelwood Pub and Brewery in Portland.
