‘Craft Beer Week’ Needs Final Push

News »  Specialty Industry Newsposted Apr 19th 06:04:52PM by pbrewadmin

Brewers Association asking industry for urgent action

The Brewers Association has recently helped to introduce a resolution in the U.S. House of Representatives recognizing American Craft Beer Week.

There are now 57 Congressmen (click here to see the list http://www.beertown.org/events/acbw/acbw_co_sponsors.html) supporting the effort to recognize the valuable contributions of America’s craft brewing community. This is a great start, but more are urgently needed to ensure the House Government Reform Committee considers and passes this measure in time for the full House of Representatives to approve it before the third week in May when American Craft Beer Week will be celebrated from the 15 th to the 21 st.

The BA is asking that you contact your Congressman in Washington, DC, to ask that they support this resolution.

Follow this link http://www.beertown.org/craftbrewing/acbw_initiative.html for all the information you’ll need; including the actual Resolution, the necessary contact information for your Representative and a customizable, printable letter you may use to contact your Representative in Congress.

For any questions, contact the BA’s Pete Johnson at pete@brewersassociation.org

    Hi All,

I am not a brewer but i am a regular reader here. I am in the process of developing my own alcoholic beverage (bottled sangria). I find the post on this site very helpful.

Anyway, I found this site that might be helpful. You can post petitions and also write letters to the government.

    I hope this is helpful.
