I bought this cider press from one mile down the road at the old Octagon Farm. He said he bought it from some guy in the Adirondacks back in the early 90's. Don't know much about them, other than it seems these were purpose built in the NorthEast specifically for hard cider production. I have old parts with a pulley/belt system that would suggest it used to operate on a hit/miss motor. This is PERFECT for a cider centerpiece at a farm cidery/winery/brewery. Video linked to show it in action. We took our time and uninstalled it piece by piece jackhammered it out of the floor, moved it down the road and reinstalled with new parts where applicable. This is a 2,250 or 2,500 gallon tank. I know I had 2,250 in it and it wasn't full. It supposedly is jacketed, though I never used it. I bought on probrewer years ago from a guy on long island. I used it for homogenization. Stainless inside, as shown. CIP ball. If you contact via phone, text first. Last time I had it full was a year ago. It was fine. Been living outside. I bought this used from a guy here on ProBrewer about 5 years ago. I've since had one main guy service it. The temperature controller was replaced recently, it got a new compressor a year ago. This thing is a champion. As long as you have a trusted local commercial refrigeration guy handy, this thing will keep on truckin'. Parts are relatively cheap. I was chilling 6 separate 264 gallon tanks at the same time and it never skipped a beat. I could set the setpoint to 28F and can my cider at 31 degrees. When a compressor broke, I recall paying about $2,300 in both parts/labor/refrigerant to fix it. I'm on my 3rd compressor. First one was the used one it came with, that went in year one. The next one went because it was filled over-capacity by an inexperienced guy. This third one is a year old, installed...

We're selling our wonderful Barison still. It's 1000L, 10 bubble plates used mostly for eau-de-vie (grape & plum) and for whiskey on a few occasions. Never used for flavoured spirits like gin or others. Equipped with CIP. This still runs like a charm. We're very sad to see it go but unfortunately our distillery is taking a new direction. We no longer need it. The still is setup in St-Hyacinthe. Ideally, the buyer would send someone to work with our team to tear it down.
