3.5 BBL American Made 3-vessel Brewhouse ( $25,000 )Hot
3.5 BBL brewhouse, one of Tigpro’s earliest prototypes, proudly Maine-made in Portland. Ruggedly built to last!
This is a three vessel system; it’s completely manual. You won’t find automation or mechanics like rakes or pneumatics but she is a well-build and classy little workhorse. We bought this system from another Maine brewery 3.5 years ago and have been running it on mostly double (and some quadruple-batch days):
Insulated 3.5 BBL. False Bottom, sparge arm, grist case & hydrator, stainless steel steps, man-door, lid.
Boil Kettle/Whirlpool: Insulated, direct-fire fire box (currently fitted to LP, but can be switched out to NG burners). There are two independently controlled burners. Our wort is maintained at a high rolling boil with one burner halfway open.
Tangential whirlpool inlet. Separation plate for holding back trüb on the bottom. 5” outflow port on the bottom.
Hot Liquor Tank: Neoprene insulated tank, approximately 7BBL volume. Rugged and heavy. We heated the HLT by recirculating through an on-demand propane heating. Will retain heat for days.
Manifold: Custom manifold that is completely customizable and modular. Chiller, O2 stone, and sanitary cross piping between all vessels so that the brewer doesn’t have to switch out hoses during the brewing process (only switch some valves around!) It is confusing at first, but easy enough to use.
Power switches/NEMA boxes for pumps and phase converter
½ hp pump, single-phase dedicated HLT/Water pump
¾ hp wort pump, 3-phase, run through a phase converter (motor replaced with a brand new one 6 months ago)
Rotophase Converter – converts 1-ph to 3-ph to power the wort pump (not variable speed)
The pumps are solid, but need gasket replacements every 6 to 12 months (a 25 min. process)
Duda-diesel 30plate chiller; These brazed chillers cannot be deconstructed for cleaning, and so need to be replaced every few years. Our is 2 years old, and we can include an additional brand new one! These little guys will transfer 3.5BBL boiling wort to 65 degrees F. in 20 min.
Plus: Triclamps, gaskets, sight glass, 2’ 10’ & 12’ hoses to make it turnkey!
