16BBL Single Wall 304 Stainless Mash Tun

We have been using this as an oversized Mash tun for our 8BBL (10HL system) for the past 6.5 years with great success.

~1,000 lbs dry grain weight capacity mixed at (we have pushed this to 1,100 dry grain weight – not ideal, but can do it, get ready to sweat).

-1 x 2.5″ Tri-clamp wort collection port

-1 x 2.5″ to 1.5″ reducer for wort collection port

-1 x 1.5″ TC ball valve for wort collection speed control

-1 x 3″ Tri-clamp grain/rise out port w/elbow (we use this when cleaning/spraying out the mash tun)

-1 x 3″ Tri-clamp butterfly valve for grain/rise out port

-1 x 1.5″ Tri-clamp upper side port (for vorlaufing)

-1 x 1.5″ Tri-clamp vorlauf arm

-1 x Grain out manway

-1 x 4″ Grist Hydrator port on the top of the mash tun (Grist Hydrator not included)

-4 x 2″ Ports for CIP, Sparge, Lights, etc. (1 x 1.5″ TC spray ball/elbow/adapter for sparging/CIP included)

-1 x large swing top lid for stirring grain/mash/removing false bottom

-1 x removable false bottom

-1 x false bottom SS removal Hook

-2 x 1.5″ TC ports for temp probes

-1 x 1.5″ TC Temp Probe

 

After 6.5 years we are upgrading to a new mash tun with rakes so we don’t have to stir anymore. Ready for removal Mid February 2021. Until then, potential buyer is welcome to watch us brew with the Mash Tun as it will remain in operation until our new vessel arrives.
