Tragic Loss to the Industry

Mike Eberle, director of brewing operations and head brewer at Steamworks Brewing Co. in Durango, CO passed away last Friday in a car accident.

Mike was born on April 15, 1973. He leaves behind his wife, Casey.

Mike started in the industry at the Belle Isle Brewery in Oklahoma City in 1996. In 1999 he began working at the Steamworks Brewing Company.

The accident occurred about four miles out of Durango and was a single-car roll-over. No one else was in the vehicle.

A Memorial Service for Mike will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 245 E. 5th Ave, Durango, CO at 1:30 PM Wednesday, December 21, 2005. A Celebration of Mike’s life will follow at Steamworks Brewing Company 801 E. 2nd Avenue, Durango, CO at 3:00PM.
