Tilray Brands Inc., a cannabis company that currently owns SweetWater Brewing Co. and Montauk Brewing Co. has said they plan more alcohol beverage acquisitions in the US to build out its distribution network.
The pharmaceutical and cannabis-lifestyle company which is incorporated in the US and headquartered in New York City has previously stated its goal to set up an infrastructure for potential distribution in the US, should THC become federally legal. It also has a strong presence in Canada and Europe,
Tilray most recently acquired Montauk Brewing Co. in November of 2022. The company has operations in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and Latin America, with growing facilities in Germany and Portugal.
