Early registration opens for October conference

Online registration discount is open for the water conservation conference in Madison, WI, October 18-19, 2010.
Cost is $195 for two days, including breakfast and lunch both days as well as the tour, offered only until 7/26/10. After 7/26, the rate will rise to $295 per person.

Monday, Oct. 18, will be filled with speakers and panels, and Tuesday, October 19, features a bus trip with tours of theCedar Grove Cheese Co.’s biofiltration system, “the Living Machine” in Plain, WI, followed by a visit to the award-winning Capital Brewery in Middleton, WI.

The agenda includes Stone Brewing Co.’s case history on wastewater treatment presented by Bill Sherwood; Brian Hunt of Moonlight Brewery on small pub water savings; panel with Jim Nicholas, US Geological Survey’s Water Science Center; brewmaster John Haggerty of New Holland Brewing Co., Grand Rapids, MI panel on effluent reduction, with Jason Fox, brewmaster, Custom BrewCrafters, and Fred Scheer, chairman of the Master Brewers Association’s Global Emerging Issues committee; and a panel with Karl Crave of Crave Bros. Cheese Co. and Brian Driscoll of the Wisconsin State Office of Energy Independence on waste-to-energy production.
