News Brewers Not the Only Ones Diversifying – Wine Makers Getting Into Cider and Beer

It’s well-known that many brewers these days are diversifying into a variety of other beverage products, chasing the ever-changing consumer tastes. But its not just brewers who are looking across the beverage spectrum – wineries are diversifying as well.

Cider is perhaps the most common cross-drink for wineries to jump into, but many are also expanding into beer and spirits.

“After two decades of making wine, the idea was to approach beer with more of a winemaker lens,” Nile Zacherle, co-founder of Mad Fritz Brewing told The Drinks Business. “I want people to think about beer on a different level. I think the challenge is getting people to look at beer differently and to be a little bit more open minded.”
