Brewers Association announces 2007 Craft Brewers Conference speakers and dates

The Brewers Association will host the annual Craft Brewers Conference April 18-21, 2007 in Austin, Texas. Attendance is expected to exceed 1,600.

The Craft Brewers Conference delivers four learning tracks of educational seminars in topics ranging from technical brewing to marketing and brewery operations and also provides a platform for networking and discussions on current legislative issues.

CBC will begin its events with an opening reception held at the world famous Stubbs Bar-B-Que. This year the CBC welcomes keynote speaker Vinnie Cilurzo, owner of Russian River Brewing Company (Santa Rosa, CA). Cilurzo will be the first brewpub member to give a keynote address since 2001. Cilurzo is known for his innovative beers and brewing techniques. Cilurzo has won the Large Brewpub Brewer of the Year award at the two most recent World Beer Cups in 2004 and 2006.

Another notable speaker at this year’s CBC is Harry Schuhmacher of Beer Business Daily. Beer Business Daily is a daily news source for global beer industry executives. Schuhmacher will be the Grand Banquet speaker for the conference.

BrewExpo America, the nation’s largest trade show for the craft brewing industry, is held in conjunction with the conference. The two-day trade show expects to host 130 exhibitors. Over 60% of the booths have already been sold.

The CBC seminars and tradeshows will be held at the Hilton Austin, located in downtown Austin.
