Former AB executives Tim Schoen and Paul Farnsworth are launching a contract brewing service called Brew Hub. The concept will provide production as well as marketing and distribution services.
Schoen is a veteran in the AB sports marketing arena and Farnsworth was a longtime brewmaster at AB.
The Wall Street Journal stated that the company is backed by an investment firm taking a majority stake in the startup with an investment of over $100 million.
How much contract brewed beer will be required to crack that nut?
The plan is to build five breweries. The first brewery will be in Lakeland, Florida with a 75,ooo barrel capacity. Additional plants will be built regionally across the country.
The company is also planning on rolling out its own craft brands and plans on exporting to Europe.
