Shelton Brothers to Cease Operations

Renowned importer Shelton Brothers, which imports craft wine, cider, spirits and beer brands from around the world says it has been forced into liquidation by its bank.

The company was founded in 1996 by brothers Dan, Joel, and Will Shelton and has served as an importer of more than 150 authentic craft alcohol beverage brands, as well as a distribution partner for a number of American breweries.

The steady growth of domestic craft brands at lower price points combined with legal battles Shelton Brothers has had in recent years with a variety of suppliers may have contributed to their financial issues.
