SABMiller posted a 12% increase in first half (six months through September) profits with beer volumes up 4%.
The acquisition of Foster’s helped the world’s second largest brewer offset slowing growth in some emerging markets and tough economic conditions in Europe and the United States the company said.
SABMiller spent $11.8 billion to buy Foster’s late last year.
