The Boston Beer Company, Inc. reported fourth quarter 2013 net revenue of $205.4 million, an increase of $52.4 million or 34% over the same period last year. Net income for the fourth quarter was $18.1 million.
Depletions grew by an impressive 23% from the comparable 52 week period in the prior year.
The company spent big time on advertising, promotional, selling expense and incentive costs which increased by a combined $45.6 million or 26% for the full year 2013.
The company predicted that 2014 depletion growth to be between 16% and 20%.
