The pandemic has not been a crisis for everyone in the beer business. Boston Beer Company today reported second quarter 2020 net revenue of $452.1 million, an increase of $133.7 million or 42.0%, from the same period last year. Net income for the second quarter was $60.1 million, an increase of $32.3 million or 116% from the same period last year.
This increase was primarily due to increased revenue driven by shipment growth of 39.8% and reported depletions increased 46% and 43% from the 13- and 26-week comparable periods in the prior year.
