News Michael Jackson Foundation Announces Five Scholarship Awardees

The Michael James Jackson Foundation for Brewing and Distilling (MJF) has received a $35,000 donation from the American Institute of Wine & Food. The donation will allow the MJF to award BIPOC scholarship opportunities to further their education in the brewing and distilling industries.

The MJF is named after the late beer and whiskey writer Michael James Jackson and was formed last year.

MJF founder Garret Oliver, brewmaster at The Brooklyn Brewery in Brooklyn, New York announced the first slate of five scholarship awardees, each with an keen interest in the craft brewing and distilling industry. The scholarships include programs at the Siebel Institute, American Brewers Guild, Master Brewer Program at Univ. of California at Davis and the Institute of Brewing and Distilling.
