Athletic Brewing Company, which makes exclusively non-alcoholic “craft” beer has raised $17.5 million to expand production. Backers include TOMS Shoes founder Blake Mycoskie, and sports business reporter Darren Rovell’s Tastemaker Capital Partners.
Some of the funding will be used to purchase the barrel-aging and souring facility once used by Ballast Point Brewing Company in San Diego.
Athletic Brewing produced about 10,000 bbls in 2019 and could double that once with the San Diego production plant online.
