St. Joseph’s Abbey to close Spencer Brewery

The monks of St. Joseph’s Abbey have announced that they will be closing the Spenser Brewery, the only certified Trappist brewery in the U.S.

The 50-bbl brewery opened on the monastery grounds in 2014 and has been operated by the 54 brothers of the abbey.
