Hog House Brewing sustains damage after brewhouse fire

Hog Haus Brewing Company Restaurant and Bar in Fayetteville, AR sustained damage to its roof after a Tuesday afternoon fire.

Hog Haus brew master Steve Mazylewsky was prepping a beer tank for filtration a few minutes before 1 p.m. Tuesday when he saw smoke coming from the top of a copper flue that connects to the boil kettle. Smoke rolled from the rooftop as firefighters worked the blaze. Firefighters had the blaze under control in about 30 minutes according to a local newspaper. No injuries were reported.

There was damage to the building’s roof, but little damage in any other area of the building. Three ladder trucks and five engine companies responded to the fire. Cause of the fire was still under investigation.

The building originally housed the Ozark Brewing Co.
