One of the oldest breweries in Germany has announced that it is opening a brewery in Charlotte, North Carolina.
The Embassy at Gilde Brewery is the first expansion outside of Germany for the Glide brewery that was established in 1546.
The brewery will include a 5,450-square-foot indoor bier haus and a 2,500-square-foot outdoor bier garten. The five-year goal is to be selling 50,000 to 100,000 barrels annually.
