Father and son Pat and Shawn McIlhenney, founders of Alpine Brewing Co., will rise from the ashes again after a bumpy ride over the years since selling to Green Flash Brewing in 2014. After taking somewhat of a back seat in the Green Flash portfolio, lenders foreclosed on Green Flash in 2018 and father Pat departed. Shawn was then let go in March of this year.
But the two are back at it with the formation of Mcilhenney Brewing which will set up operations in their original location in the namesake town of Alpine about 30 miles east of downtown San Diego. Full story here in San Diego Beer News.
