Napa Fire Destroys Vineyards, Wineries and Historic Restaurants

Beverage Industry News» Beverage Industry Newsposted Oct 3rd, 2020 06:50:31PM by Tom McCormick

Napa and Sonoma counties have seen their share of large devastating fires in the last five years, but the current Glass Fire has destroyed more restaurants and wineries than any past wildfire in the Napa/Sonoma region.

SF Eater has reported that 194 restaurants, vineyards, and other businesses have been destroyed by the fire that broke out last week and continues to burn. Perhaps the most heartbreaking loss is the historic and well-known Meadowood Resort which lost the three-Michelin-starred Restaurant at Meadowood, and other buildings.

Other wineries that suffered major damage or completely destroyed include Behrens Family Winery, Burgess Cellars, Cain Vineyard and Winery, Castello di Amorosa, Dutch Henry Winery, Hourglass Winery and many others.

See a complete list of wineries lost in SF Eater here.
