Miller Sales Nearly Flat

SABMiller today reported that Miller sales to retailers in the U.S. were 0.9% above the prior year for the 11 months ending February. The company said Miller Lite sales have continued to grow, though more slowly as a result a strong comparison period a year ago, and because of a weak trading environment. Domestic shipments to wholesalers were in line with sales to retailers for the 11 months.

Globally, the company reported organic lager volume growth of over 4% for the same 11 month period to February.

In a statement the brewer said: “Group financial performance remains in line with our expectations as communicated at the time of our interim announcement.”
