MicroStar Offers Service to send Draft Entries to BIIA Awards

Beverage Industry News» Beverage Industry Newsposted Feb 6th, 2004 12:00:00AM by Pat Hagerman

Throughout the 100-year-old history of the Brewing Industry International Awards (BIIA), draught beers have been ceremoniously judged by professionals from around the world. Now often dubbed the “Beer Oscars,” the competition reflects the vitality of the global beer market. Held in the UK and organized by Brewing Technology Services Limited, the BIIA Awards have become a esteemed event.

TrenStar’s U.S. keg management unit MicroStar Keg Management is offering to ship entries from domestic brewers to the UK judges via a freight forwarder including export documentation and customs clearance. Brewers will pay the freight forwarder for shipping costs initially, but will receive a substantial rebate after the competition closing date, which will be drawn from a freight fund that TrenStar has set aside to be distributed equally among the U.S. brewers that enter.

Entry forms must be sent to the competition organizers by February 27, 2004. BIIA organizers will send guidelines for how to ready your entry for the competition and full instructions on how to arrange shipment via MicroStar Keg Management’s freight forwarder. Entry forms are at: http://www.trenstar.com/e-shots/biia_booking_form.asp or contact MicroStar at 800-245-2200 for more information. For more information on the BIIA awards, visit their web site at: http://www.brewingawards.org
