Tipsy Scoop, a frozen dessert company, is partnering with Coors to introduce an alcoholic ice cream called Orange Cream Pop that will weigh in at 5% abv. The ice cream is infused with Coors Seltzer Orange Cream Pop hard seltzer.
The Coors-branded ice cream follows the introduction in April of an Anheuser-Busch frozen pops brand that are 8% abv. The ice pops come in two flavors, Strawberry Lemonade and Pineapple Lemonade.
The industry will be watching to see how these alcoholic ice cream products perform and if other alcohol companies will jump in to create a new alcohol product category.
