First month of the year to show strong uptick in sales
There was a slight increase in overall beer sales in August, something the industry hasn’t seen recently.
The Beer Institute’s August estimate showed an increase in domestic beer volume shipments of 4.6%, the first strong uptick this year.
Year to-date sales are down about 2% for the industry. Craft sales continue to show strong increases.
