Anheuser-Busch is planning on opening a small distillery in Bend, Oregon, not far from 10 Barrel Brewing Company which they acquired in 2105.
According to an article in The Bulletin, ABI filed pre-application documents with the city of Bend to operate the 600-liter distillery.
10 Barrel already has a distilling license and cans cocktails with liquor supplied by an outside vendor. The distillery could serve 10 Barrel with research and development and spirits for 10 Barrel to blend.
ABI also bought Cutwater Spirits, the largest craft distiller in San Diego earlier this year.
